(Summary from Goodreads). He was lost and alone. Then he found her.
And the future seemed more fragile than ever.
As a child, Landon Lucas Maxfield believed his life was perfect and looked forward to a future filled with promise — until tragedy tore his family apart and made him doubt everything he ever believed.
All he wanted was to leave the past behind. When he met Jacqueline Wallace, his desire to be everything she needed came so easy…
As easy as it could be for a man who learned that the soul is breakable and that everything you hoped for could be ripped away in a heartbeat.
I really LOVED Easy. It was definitely one of my favorite contemporary books that I have read… when I found out about Breakable I couldn't get my hands on it until now! I didn't really remember what happened in Easy (on the Landon/Lucas side), but I had some memories about it. It's definitely been a while since I've read it.
I really loved Lucas's side of the story. I loved how it was split between the Landon side of the story and Lucas side of the story. The Before and the After. I'm not sure if I liked it as much as I loved Easy. I might have loved it more if I read it right after Easy, but I did like it a lot. It was so fun to read and really heartbreaking to hear what Landon went through.
I find the part of Landon's friendship with Boyce really funny because it really is how a guy friendship could be.
Landon/Lucas was such a fun character to be in the mind of. I loved reading his perspective of the story. Would definiltey recommend it (although I would probably suggest to read it right after Easy).
Five out of five stars.
